Potassium Monopersulfate

Potassium monopersulfate, also known as monopersulfate peroxymonosulfate or potassium caroate, is the widely used water treatment chemicals for commercial, industrial and municipal water treatment applications. The potassium monopersulfate is the triple salt composed of potassium monopersulfate, potassium sulfate and potassium bisulfate with the formula 2KHSO5·KHS04·K2S04. The trade name of potassium peroxymonosulfate compound is  Caroat or Oxone, it is a form of white, odorless, crystalline, free-flowing solid powder and tablet with higher stability at normal temperature, and it will be decomposed when exceeding 60 degrees. As  the potassium salt of peroxymonosulfuric acid, the potassium caroate is highly and readily soluble in water and corrosive, it provides powerful non-chlorine oxidation and microbiological effectiveness for a wide variety of industrial applications. The potassium monopersulfate compound has the particular advantage of being highly stable in storage, slower decomposition, easy and safe to handle and transport in normal state.

Storage: Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Keep tightly closed until used. Store away from incompatible substance. Keep away from fire and heat source. Seal packaging. Pay attention to moisture and rain. Stored separately with reducing agents, acids, easy (can be) burning materials.

Loading Capacity: Each 20’FCL can load 20 ton at most with pallet. Each 20’FCL can load up 22 ton at most without pallet.          

Applications of Potassium Monopersulfate

Potassium Monopersulfate compound, a stable, convenient and excellent acidity oxidant, is widely used in water treatment industries. It is used in oral hygiene, pool and spa water disinfection, PCB etchant, Pulp bleach, wool fabrics shrink treatment agent, precious metal refining agent. Potassium Monopersulfate compound is also used in organic synthesis, such as epoxidizing the double bonds of organic molecule, or as initiator in many radical polymerization. In addition, Potassium Monopersulfate compound can oxidize the hydrogen sulfide or sulfur-containing substances in the waster water, provide oxygen in aquaculture, and bleach to remove stains at low temperature.
