Calcium Hypochlorite

Calcium hypochlorite is an inorganic compound with formula Ca(ClO)2.  It is a white solid waste treatment chemical that readily decomposes in water releasing oxygen and chlorine and also has a strong chlorine odor. It is the main active ingredient of commercial products called bleaching powder, chlorine powder, or chlorinated lime, used for water treatment and as a bleaching agents or disinfectants. The calcium hypochlorite has such advantages as high effective chlorine content, good stability, longer storage time, good solubility,, etc. It is the components of commercial bleaches, cleaning solutions, and disinfectants for drinking water and waste water purification systems and swimming pools, it is widely used for disinfection on the surface of a general object, food and drink tools, fruits and vegetables, drinking water, textile and various excreta, etc. Calcium hypochlorite can be mixed with water to various strengths to kill germs found on industrial food processing and preparation surfaces as an important role to keep food supply in safe condition.

Calcium Hypochlorite Applications

Calcium Hypochlorite is often packaged with 40kg/45kg/50kg plastic drum, round drum, octagon drum or square drum, 10kg, 20kg American drum, 45kg India drum or 50kg iron drum, etc. It is widely used for bleaching purpose of wood pulp, silk, cloth and fiber, as the disinfectant for water treatment and swimming pools, chemical poisonous and radioactive substance, and aquaculture, livestock. etc.
